Gratitude is our Attitude

Dear Trinity Family and Supporters:

Perhaps you have heard it said:

• When times are tough, dare to be tougher.

• Tough times never last, but tough people do.

• If you are going through hell, keep going.

• And, whatever you do, just keep moving forward.

Attributed to Steve Maraboli, Robert H. Schuller, Winston Churchill, and Martin Luther King, Jr.,

respectively, each phrase reminds us of a core truth we celebrate as people of faith. God is with

us and promises to fully satisfy every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ

Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

We face challenging times with gratitude as our attitude.

For the next few weeks, we invite all Trinity family members and supporters to reflect on the

generosity of God and how God’s generosity invites us to be as generous as God is. Then join us in

partnering with God through God’s work at Trinity Church by making a giving commitment (a pledge)

to support the church financially in 2026 no later than November 9.

These are exciting times for Trinity Church. We are having conversations about maximizing the use

of our properties and grounds. We continue to offer inspiring and joy-filled worship. We honor the

youngest amongst us and provide for their growth and understanding in the Christian faith.

And we take every opportunity we can to laugh.

Believing that God is with us and that God always fulfills God’s promises, we face the uncertainty

and changing landscape of these times confident that we may not know what will be, but we do know

that ultimately we will be like Jesus.

Please join me and all Vestry members at Trinity with your 2026 annual pledge. Your generosity is

essential to serving the Trinity Church community in which we live. God has given us far more than

we can ask or imagine. It is our great joy to give back. Faithfully yours,

The Rev. Kim L. Coleman
