Trinity Episcopal Church

Annual Parish Retreat at Shrine Mont

Friday, September 16 –  Sunday, September 18, 2005

 Loving to Tell the Story

“Then Jesus told them, "Do not be afraid.

Go and tell my brothers . . . "

Matthew 28:10

Facilitators:  The Rev. Kim L. Coleman, The Rev. Elizabeth A. Bagioni, Mrs. Judith Shapiro

Have you ever marveled at a great story teller?

Have you ever wanted to capture someone’s attention with your story and keep them coming back?

Would you like to learn how to tell the Christian story so effectively that people not only will listen but also will want to hear more?

In less than two short hours you can join the Trinity Church family at the Shrine Mont retreat center in the beautiful mountains of Orkney Spring, Virginia.

Everyone is invited – individuals, couples and families with children of all ages. There is something for everyone.

For those seeking unencumbered rest - come, find your favorite rocking chair and partake of as much “porching” as you like!  For those desiring more stimulation and direction, we offer creative activities, stimulating learning, free time to relax and play, good food, worship and opportunities to reflect on our life of faith.  Saturday morning will include separate activities for kids.  Other planned activities will be as a parish family.

Weekend Rates:  Kids age 7 and under attend free; Kids ages 8-12, $70; Double occupancy with registration before September 5 - $115; Double occupancy with registration after September 5 - $125; Single occupancy (depending on availability) - $140.  We offer a special rate of $70 for Trinity regulars who are first time Shrine Mont Retreat attendees.

We want everyone to attend.  To obtain a registration form, please contact the Parish Office at 703/920-7077.  If you wonder whether or not you qualify as a Trinity regular or desire some financial assistance to make this weekend economically feasible, please contact Trinity’s Rector, the Rev. Kim L. Coleman at 703/920-7077.
