Intercessory
Prayer Ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church
|
For this reason, since the day we
heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and asking that you
may be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual
wisdom and understanding, so that you may lead lives worthy of
the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good
work and as you grow in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-11 |

Since February of 2003,
Trinity’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry has built community by:
Praying for Trinity’s rector
and mission, the church, our families and friends, and all people we
encounter as we strive to provide a ministry of life, hope and healing
to others.
Facilitating spiritual
formation and growth through life transforming seminars and small group
events.
Extending Trinity’s pastoral
care ministry outside church walls by visiting Trinity’s sick and
shut-in members to share Holy Communion and pray.
Conducting Healing Services
for those afflicted in spirit, mind, and/or body.
Healing Services
The ministry of Jesus
invites us to new life in God and with each other. In following the
example of Jesus and the disciples, we continue God’s work of healing
through prayer in his name and the laying on of hands.
Trinity’s Intercessory
Prayer Ministry conducts healing services (based on the liturgy found in
the Episcopal Book of Occasional Services) on the third Sunday of every
other month in Trinity’s Chapel following the 10:30 a.m. Sunday
service. All are welcome.
If you desire prayer but
cannot or choose not to attend, please contact Edna Keith, Vestry
Liaison for Inreach, by sending an email to the church office at
info@tecarl.org.

The Way of Blessedness
Facilitator – Joy

What does it mean to
experience God’s blessedness as Jesus understood it?
Jesus portrays the reign of
God in terms that are contrary to social hierarchy -- in his time as
well as our own. It is a realm of outlandish generosity and uncommon
compassion. This study, from the Companions in Christ series,
guides participants along a path that offers clarity to our way of life
and the very life of God’s kingdom.

Journeying With Purpose:
A
Weekly Search to Discover God’s Purpose for Your Life
Facilitator: The Rev. Kim L. Coleman
"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.
Long before we first heard of Christ,...he had his eye on us, had
designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is
working out in everything and
everyone.”
Ephesians 1:11
Believers and seekers alike want to know
“what on earth am I here for?” The Intercessory Prayer Group offers
this series for all who want to discover God’s purpose for your life as
well as understand more about the big picture.
Based on
Rick Warren’s book, The Purpose-Driven Life, this multi-week
adventure uncovers a manifesto for 21st century Christian
living arising from eternal purposes, not cultural values. Through
biblical stories and scripture, participants will engage Warren’s
understanding of God’s 5 purposes for each of us:
We were planned for God’s pleasure, so
our first purpose is to offer real worship.
We were formed for God’s family, so our
second purpose is to enjoy real fellowship.
We were created to become like Christ,
so our third purpose is to learn real discipleship
We were shaped for serving God, so our
fourth purpose is to practice real ministry.
We were made for a mission, so our fifth
purpose is to live out real evangelism.
Classes
are held on Sundays in Trinity’s Chapel from 9:15-10:15 am beginning
Sunday October 3, 2004 through Sunday, April 24, 2005. The cost of
$20.00 covers the purchase of Rick Warren’s book, The Purpose Driven
Life. Scholarships are available. For a detailed schedule of classes
and topics, contact the church office at 703/920-7077 or
