Birthday/Anniversary
Correspondents
The
ideal ministry for those who have like connecting with people through
the written word and can find the time to address some envelopes and
sign some cards.
Here
is how this ministry works:
Correspondents sign up for at least one month of service. Trinity
provides the cards, stamps, names/addresses list and an appropriate
prayer card insert. At the beginning of the last week of the month
preceding your month of service, please come to the church office and
pick up the materials you will need. During your month(s) of service,
we ask that you address the appropriate card, sign the card “Your
Trinity Family,” insert the appropriate pre-signed prayer/blessing card,
and mail the card at least three days prior to the person’s
birthday/anniversary date. When your term of service has ended, at the
beginning of the next to last week of the month, return any leftover
cards and postage to the church office so that Kathi Justus, the
Rector’s Administrative Assistant, may pass the materials on to the next
correspondent.
If for
some reason a correspondent runs out of either cards or stamps before
their term of service ends and does not have sufficient time to request
these supplies from the office, please purchase what you need, save the
receipt, and submit the receipts for reimbursement. The correspondent
then would pass on the materials you acquired at the end of your
service.
To sign
up for this important ministry, contact the church office and speak with
Kathi Justus at 703/920-7077 or
info@tecarl.org.

Photographer
Do you love the allure of a Kodak
moment? Have you had any experience with digital cameras or are willing
to learn? Do you enjoy seeing a variety of communication vehicles
(including service bulletins, websites, newsletters, bulletin boards and
power point presentations) enhanced by photographic images? Then we
need you.
Willingness to photograph church events
required. Additional photographers may be recruited. You incur no cost
with digital camera use and pre-approved payment of film processing
expenses associated with the use of other manual camera equipment will
be reimbursed.
Contact church office or Joy Warburton,
Vestry Liaison for Communications, to volunteer.

Thrift Shop Volunteer
Trinity’s long-standing outreach
ministry to the Arlington Community needs your assistance. Why not help
the Thrift Shop serve others by volunteering your time to staff the
shop? Typical activities include receiving donations, processing
consignments, straightening clothes and item racks, working the cash
register, and serving as on-site back up for other staff members as
needed.
The Shop is open Monday through
Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Volunteers work with Mae Kmeco,
Thrift Shop Manager, to determine their working hours. One can work as
few as four hours per month.
Contact Mae Kmeco at the Thrift Shop or
through the church office to volunteer. For additional information on
Trinity’s Columbia Pike through Shop click here –
Columbia Pike Thrift Shop.

Newcomer Visitation Team
Can you
drive? Can you walk? Can you say “Hi, we just wanted to let you know
how much we appreciate your visit to Trinity. Have a great week”?
Can you then hand over or leave by the door a token gift from Trinity?
If your answer is yes, you have all it takes to perform this important
ministry of hospitality.
To join
the Newcomer Visitation Team, contact Joy Warburton, Vestry Liaison for
Evangelism.

Coffee Hour Hosts
Is
there a rule that the first one to the refreshments table wins? When it
comes to being a Coffee Hour Host at Trinity, you can’t lose.
Trinity
currently offers Coffee Hour following the 10:30 am service only.
Coffee Hour hosts have the joy of greeting members and guests as they
depart service. By creating a welcoming environment, these hosts help
provide the personal touch and connection that many who come to church
and/or who are seeking a church desire.
The
tasks are straight forward. Coffee Hour Coordinators Freddie and Doug
Anderson provide explicit guidelines and support for those who want to
serve.
©
Coffee Hour Hosts arrive
by 9:50 AM to set up the tables (if we are having Coffee Hour on the
Lawn) and to get the coffee ready.
©
Following Holy Communion
portion of our service, hosts will want to set out the cream, punch and
refreshments.
©
After the Coffee Hour, we
ask that Coffee Hour Hosts please wash urns and other items and store
them in the little kitchen where you found them.
Hosting
Coffee Hour is an enjoyable task with great rewards. To volunteer,
contact Patrick Hoffman, Vestry Liaison
for Hospitality and Fellowship.
