A Six-Step Decision Making Guide to Giving
First Step: Pray Gracious Heavenly Father, you so loved the world that you gave. Grant to me a spirit of wisdom and revelation to recognize the abundance of gifts you bestow upon me. Help me, in all ways to model your example in my own giving. Bless me with the desire and will to use your gifts and resources in ways that prosper your purposes, to the glory of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen.

Third Step: Answer these questions How much money did you give to Trinity last year? ________ Are you planning to give more? ________ Are you planning to give less? ________ Are you planning not to give at all? ________ Would you like to give or give more but have no available funds? ________
Fourth Step: Consider these various ways to give Amount Pledge to give the biblical tithe (10% of your gross income) □ Yes Pledge to give a tithe of income (10% of your net income) □ Yes Pledge to give a tithe (10%) more than what you gave last year □ Yes Pledge to increase your last year’s giving by a proportion □ Yes Pledge to give what you gave last year □ Yes Pledge to contact the clergy for information on estate planning □ Yes (If present circumstances will not allow the generosity towards God you desire, act now to make Trinity a part of your estate planning and eventual distribution)
Fifth Step: Consider these extracurricular ways of giving □ Yes Help pay off the Handicap loan. Make an additional $1,000 pledge □ Yes Help offset escalating capital improvement costs that are not covered by Trinity’s budget by designating a gift for capital improvements.
Sixth Step: Giving is essential to God’s plan for our abundance and blessing. If you plan neither to give time, service (e.g., attendance, participation, leadership, prayer), money nor grace (unwarranted favor) to Trinity in 2006, pledge to begin praying about where God is leading you to give and commit to following where God leads.
